Apal Francorchamps 1985
2018 Antwerp Concours - Wijnegem (B)

The Francorchamps was the penultimate model presented by the Belgian kit car and buggy manufacturer Apal. It was also one of their most elaborate designs, funded by an American investor and based on components of the Mercedes 190 E. Due to a sudden devaluation of the Dollar, making the car too expensive for the American market, the project was aborted before production was underway.
Ultimately only 3 cars were made: 1 was destroyed in a crash test and 2 survive to this day: a white one and the car shown here. In 1986 it was was presented on the Brussels Motorshow.
