Devin D Porsche 1957
2015 Techno Classica - Essen (D)

The Devin D (for "Deutsch": German) was designed by Bill Devin from El Monte, California. This model was based on Volkswagen components and could be fitted with either a Volkswagen or Porsche engine. It featured a tubular chassis and a fiberglass body and could be ordered as a completely built car or as a kit.
Between 1958 and 1963 there were 49 of these cars made. They were very lightweight and often used for racing in various competitions.
