This has to be my favorite Formula 1 car design ever. It was entered in races on high speed tracks, while in others the more conventional looking cigar shaped version of the W196 R was used. During the 1954 and 1955 seasons this car was driven by Juan Manuel Fangio and Karl Kling. Sometimes it's referred to as the Type Monza.
