Fiat 500 C MM barchetta by Mor & Sca 1949
2017 Concours d'Elegance Paleis het Loo - Apeldoorn (NL)
Italian Davide Boccardi constructed this car in 1949 especially for taking part in the famous annual Mille Miglia (1000 miles) race in the class up to 750 cc engine displacement. It's based on the humble Fiat 500 C Topolino, the engine tuned to give a higher power output by fitting Siata heads with overhead valves and fitted with a simple yet efficient barchetta body by the very obscure coachbuilders Mor & Sca. Only one was built and it wasn't very successful in the race but still this charming miniature racer survived to this day.
