The Liberty Motor Car Company from Detroit, USA, is one of those many nearly forgotten manufacturers from America's hectic early 20th century. Liberty was relatively short-lived: production began in 1916 and ended in 1923. It specialized in medium priced cars which were initially quite successful. From 1921 the cars were powered by 6 cylinder engines of their own design. But shortly after financial troubles began when a larger factory was needed to upscale production, leading to an unglamorous end a few years later. It's estimated that less than a dozen Liberty cars still exist.
