Parisotto was one of the many "Etceterini" in early post-war Italy: small scale manufacturers of sports cars, usually based on mass produced components and often with lightweight 2-seater bodywork. This manufacturer, named after one of the founders of the Scuderia Patavium, was based in Padova. Starting in 1952 only 9 cars were made, with the first one branded as a Morassuti. All had 750 cc engines, but by various manufacturers.
This car is based on a tubular chassis designed by Pasqualin and was assembled by Cesare Rizzato. It's powered by a tuned Fiat engine with Siata cylinder head. In 1952 it was entered in the famous Mille Miglia race in the guise shown here, driven by Gino D'Angeli.
A great piece of obscure Italian car history. Remarkably of the 9 cars made 4 have survived.
