Yes, on the grill is written the year 1915 and I've named it 1916. Both are right however; 1915 is the year of manufacture and 1916 is the model year. For commercial reasons the 1916 Overland Model 83 was introduced as early as June 1915. It also was considerably cheaper than its predecessor, which lead to lots of unhappy customers who had bought the "old model" earlier that year.
As is customary with American cars I generally identify them by model year rather than year of manufacture.
