Plymouth Fury convertible coupe 1960
2019 Antwerp Classic Salon - Antwerpen (B)

Where most American manufacturers reached a peak in extrovert exuberance during the 1959 model year, Plymouth presented its most outlandish styling for the 1960 model year. Tail fins were at their highest and chrome at its most abundant on the full size 1960 Plymouths. At the time it was not much appreciated. The press considered the styling "misshapen" and sales were disappointing.
Within the top-of-the-range Fury models the convertible was the rarest at 7,080 cars sold. And I guess only a few of those were finished in this unusual "Buttercup Yellow" color.
