Alvis TE21 Super FHC by Graber 1964
2019 Techno Classica - Essen (D)

Swiss coachbuilder Graber made exclusive versions of the post war Alvis 3 Litre models, which received the "Super" designation. In the case of the TE21 model, also known as the 3 Litre Series III, Graber offered a cabriolet, a coupe and even a 4-door saloon version. The fixed head coupe version shown here proved to be the most popular with seven cars built.
With its stacked twin Marchal headlights it looks remarkably like the contemporary Facel Vega Facel II, though the Alvis is higher and more elongated, a proper 4-seater instead of a 2+2 like the Facel. Graber returned to a single headlights design for the following (and last) model TF21, which makes the TE21 (and the preceding, similar looking TD Series II) quite unique in Graber's design history.
