MG B EX234 roadster by Pininfarina 1965
2017 Techno Classica - Essen (D)

This is a one-off prototype by the MG factory based on the chassis of an MG B. Unlike the MG B it features independent rear suspension and a 1275 cc BMC A-Series engine. The roadster body was created by Pininfarina and bears some resemblance to that of the Fiat 124 Sport Spider, which was unveiled a year later.
Although the car was tested favorably it didn't make it into production. At the time management felt that there was no need to invest in a replacement for either the MG Sprite or MG B.
