Thurner RS-R 1971
2016 Classic Days Schloss Dyck - Aldenhoven (D)

From 1969 till 1974 German Rudolf Thurner made an attractive sportscar with gullwing doors named the Turner RS. It used NSU components and was based on a shortened NSU 1200 C platform. A total of 121 cars were made, and 3 of them were specially built for racing: the RS-R. The RS-R was powered by a fuel injected, 1280 cc NSU TT engine tuned by Abt, producing 103 hp. In this light weight car it was enough to make it into a competitive contender in hillclimb races and alike.
