Abarth Scorpione 1300 SS by Francis Lombardi 1971
2016 Antwerp Classic Salon - Antwerpen (B)

The most powerful of the various versions of the coupe design by coachbuilder Francis Lombardi. In general this design was offered as the Francis Lombardi Grand Prix model with 850 cc Fiat engine, the OTAS or Giannini 1000 Grand Prix with a Giannini tuned twin-cam 1000 cc engine and ultimately as the Abarth Scorpione with a 1300 cc engine. This engine was based on that of the Fiat 124 S, which was enlarged and extensively modified by Abarth. In SS trim it delivered around 100 hp.
Only 15 cars of this type were made.
