Ford Escort Mk I 1300 GT modified to 2000 GT 1969
2018 Techno Classica - Essen (D)
Before Ford introduced the Mexico and the RS 1600/2000 versions the 1300 GT was the most sporty Mk I Escort. A popular tuning modification at the time was replacing its modest 1300 cc engine with a 2 Liter unit. In Germany tuners like Zakspeed, Eichberg or Neerpasch offered such conversions, generally known as a 2000 GT.
This car however was converted by its second owner.
