Apal from Liege, Belgium, offered a polyester coupe body on the Volkswagen Beetle chassis from 1961 till 1965. A small portion of these (about 30 in total) were adapted by the factory to fit on a Porsche 356 chassis. These Apal Porsches were primarily meant for use in competition. This car has been fitted with the 356's 1600 cc Super 90 engine. At a weight of only 600 kg this car offers a brisk performance.
